Telecom Staff College (TSC) is the core training institution for the members of Bangladesh Civil Service Telecommunication Cadre recruited through competitive examinations conducted by Bangladesh Public Service Commission. Telecom staff college (TSC) was established in 3rd August 1986 as an in-house telecom training institute of the then Bangladesh Telegraph & Telephone Board (BTTB). When Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) was formed in 1st July, 2008, TSC also came under the fold of the BTCL. Now, TSC conducts refresher courses for the class I officers of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL). The strength of TSC lies in its rich and sprawling campus, infrastructure, and talented, trained, qualified and highly motivated human resource pool. Well qualified, trained and experienced officers are posted as faculty to impart knowledge & skill.

The staff college is located at Gazipur in a natural environment at a distance of 37 kilometers from the capital city Dhaka. It is 1.5 km to the north east form Gazipur choursta. The total land area of TSC is 80.77 acres while 2.34 acres is used for 500 meter long approach road connecting with the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway. The administrative cum academic building having an area of 6582 sqm is situated at the front of the compound. The Director General’s room, office accommodation for officers, class rooms, switch room, other telecommunication labs, computer lab, language lab, library, conference room are located at the first floor of the administrative building. In addition, office accommodation for officers and staff also exist in the ground floor.
